Lord I ask of You
Lord, I look to your face
Wishing for that smile of yours
To look upon me again
Just as you did to those you loved
Those years long ago.
How oft I turn away
And rather walk in the wilderness alone
Than live in your land
With you beside me
Caring as I near the light of Light.
I need that love of yours
That I may worship you again
That I may live for you again
Giving you the glory
And not for myself alone.
Heal my heart, purify my mind,
To kneel in your presence
Day after day, feeling your touch
Lifting me higher in the
Spirit of your love.
