The fisherman: Discipleship and Harvesting

Lord I Come To You

Lord I come to you,
Lay my life before you,
Asking you for peace
And for joy.

Lord I am stubborn and
I don't want to say "I will"
But when you call so gently
Can I but love ?

And when your love
Flows through me
Nothing I can do
But kneel before your throne,
Even then I know
When tomorrow comes
I'm sure to reject the Son of God.
Why, why do you love me ?

Lord I come to you,
Lay my life before you,
Asking you for peace
And for joy.

As the days go by
I find you are there
Gently leading me
Along the road I must go,
And when I stumble
As oft I do
It's your hand, outstretched, lovingly
That raises me up.

Lord I come to you,
Lay my life before you,
Asking you for peace
And for joy.
