God is building a temple; it will be made of pure gold. This temple will rise high and reflect the glory of His Son. In it, He will place His Holy Spirit, a resting place for Himself.
The pressure groups say: it will be too bright – make it of stone; it will be too high – make it smaller. Do you think it is right to put only your Spirit there – there may be other spirits that require a home?
The pressure groups are being allowed to override the Master Architect and Builder, the temple is now mottled with gold and stone – imperfectly reflecting His perfect plan.
We are not all that we were meant to be in Christ.
It is always a delight to do God's will - when we get around to doing it!
I keep on asking myself - why is it so hard? Of course it isn't, but sometimes the attractions of other things seem to make living His life awkward and less than what I want!
